Due to the blockbuster success of Titanic, director James Cameron has decided to helm a sequel. Titled "Titanic 2 Jack is Back", this movie picks up the story where it left off, with Jack Dawson checking out of Ellis Island and embarking on a new adventure aboard the RMS Titanic. Though God Himself may not be able to save us again, hopefully reliving these events will make us feel better... Join Jack as he embarks on an epic journey across the Atlantic Ocean in 1914 - surviving by exploiting his charm and wits. After being forced to find a job by the Captain of the ship, Jack quickly begins his new life as a waiter for wealthy socialite Ruth DeWitt Bukater. Meanwhile, an artist named Rose DeWitt Bukater embarks on her own journey - fleeing the Titanic to escape marriage to Cal Hockley. Her father was lead investor in the White Star Line that built the Titanic and is now ruined not only financially, but also emotionally after his daughter eloped. Jack and Rose fall in love during their time aboard and grow ever closer and more attached throughout the voyage, despite Jack's engagement to Rose's Aunt Lute and impending death due to an unknown illness. Jack narrowly avoids death countless times, but is inevitably doomed to end his own life on the bow of the ship. After saving his aunt from a mutiny, Jack decides to forgo the ocean and remain with Rose. They set out for a life together in London. But Rose has been warned by her father that Jack may never find his love again... As it turns out, she was right. Jack's experience on board the Titanic seems to be over, and he tries to move forward with Rose, but they have trouble building a relationship outside of their past experiences together as shipboard friends. Whilst Rose is busy with work, Jack begins to experience eerie visions of the Titanic, predicting her death by jumping overboard. Though they are broken up again, Rose must keep Jack close to her by promising him that she will meet him on the other side. With no place left on Earth for him, Jack decides to join the Titanic. But the cursed ship has claimed another life... The title of "Jack is Back" was originally used for a short film released in 1994 entitled "", which also starred Tom Hanks as Jack Dawson. The short film had its own connection with Cameron's Titanic sequel announcement, as it was produced by his brother Jon Landau. The short film was seemingly produced in order to quash any rumors of a possible Titanic sequel, since the film's content is made up primarily of flashbacks to Jack's voyage on the Titanic. The short film was released on the video for Celine Dion's song "Think Twice", which was used in the end credits for Cameron's Titanic. Celine Dion would later star in Cameron's movie Avatar.
